{"id":4897,"date":"2019-02-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-07T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rigel.seaward1.wpenginepowered.com\/news\/introducing-288-downloader-a-new-mobile-app-from-rigel-medical\/"},"modified":"2025-06-03T16:07:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T15:07:13","slug":"introducing-288-downloader-a-new-mobile-app-from-rigel-medical","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rigelmedical.com\/news\/introducing-288-downloader-a-new-mobile-app-from-rigel-medical\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing 288+ Downloader &#8211; a new mobile app from Rigel Medical"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We are excited to launch a free mobile phone app to help clinical engineers performing electrical safety tests in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Built as a companion to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rigelmedical.com\/support\/electrical-safety-testing\/406a913-288-plus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">288+ electrical safety analyzer<\/a>, the Downloader app allows field service engineers using the device to create and upload digital test records.<\/p>\n<p>Users can remotely attach their test records to a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) or send them to a central database.<\/p>\n<p>The 288+ is an electrical safety analyzer designed to perform routine tests on medical electrical equipment.<\/p>\n<p>These tests play a vital role as they highlight faults with medical equipment in hospitals and healthcare facilities, picking up on issues which can compromise patient safety.<\/p>\n<p>Engineers are required to carry out the tests as part of a planned preventative maintenance schedule, however traceability and the time consuming process of storing test records to asset maintenance software can pose a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Walton, Category Manager at Rigel Medical, said: \u201cTime constraints are a key challenge for our customers \u2013 and Downloader is designed to help them complete tests quicker and more efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe app allows technicians to attach a test record to their preferred system via email, minimising time spent on site and streamlining the reporting process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Downloader app is available to download now from Google Play and is compatible with Rigel 288+ devices.<\/p>\n<p>Find out more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rigelmedical.com\/support\/electrical-safety-testing\/288-plus-downloader\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are excited to launch a free mobile phone app to help clinical engineers performing electrical safety tests in the field.
